  2. 2. <ul><li>My name is Audrey Shiotsu </li></ul><ul><li>I started school in 1960 in Detroit </li></ul><ul><li>I graduated from high school in 1973 in Detroit </li></ul><ul><li>I first went to college at Wayne State University in 1973 </li></ul><ul><li>When I finish my degree, I hope to become a Secondary Education Chemistry Teacher. </li></ul><ul><li>Typical Classroom from 1960 </li></ul>
  3. 3. anything from ancient technology such as an abacus to modern tech such as a scientific calculator that will enhance and help the student to learn about the subject being taught in school and life in a fun and engaging way. This includes devices such as computers, cell phones , Ipods/mp3 players, and game systems .

  5. 5. <ul><li>The only electronic technology we had was the Television and the Record Player. </li></ul><ul><li>We would watch Captain Kangaroo for our morning recess sometimes.   7. 7. <ul><li>Media equipment, 8mm Movie Camera </li></ul><ul><li>We used It to make mini documentaries. I liked it better than slide presentations in the 1970’s. </li></ul><ul><li>All Science Labs had the latest Technology. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Star Trek Technology </li></ul><ul><li>Apple I Pad </li></ul><ul><li>Sci Fi becomes </li></ul><ul><li>a reality. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>Apple iPad </li></ul><ul><li>I want each student to have an iPad with their textbooks on it and for school work. It is very light and easy to carry around. </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>No Walls blocking the </li></ul><ul><li>path to learning </li></ul><ul><li>A place where students are free to be themselves. </li></ul>
  11. 11. <ul><li>Lack of interest in adding modern technology to the classroom. </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of money to pay for technology. </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of desire to learn how to use new technology </li></ul>
