  • Spelling journal – just show / Reading books – Class library and library books – independent books to go home Diaries – children to be responsible for - bookmark
  • Aim to match the needs of every child – learning will be appropriate for each level
  • Inform parents that there will not be a home school letter. That we will put what we are learning on the bottom of the grids.

How We Organise Ourselves How the World Works Inquiry Units in Year 3 Interconnected systems are needed to get food to people. The properties of air allow us to use it in many different ways.
    • 8. Library and Home Learning <ul><li>Library – children will have the opportunity during the week to change their library books during break times. Each class will also have a weekly session in the library. </li></ul><ul><li>Home Learning – will be given out once a fortnight. On a Friday it will be glued into home learning books and a copy placed on the Learning Gateway. There will be set tasks which must be completed as well as a selection of optional activities. </li></ul><ul><li>Home learning will be returned to school after two weekends on the Monday. This will allow for the learning to be shared and viewed in class. </li></ul>

The Home Learning Grids Will… <ul><li>Be differentiated; </li></ul><ul><li>Contain elements of choice and tasks that must be completed; </li></ul><ul><li>Be expected to be completed over a period of time that includes a </li></ul><ul><li>number of school days and at least one weekend; </li></ul><ul><li>As much as possible be linked to learning being undertaken at school and at home; </li></ul><ul><li>Include Chinese language and sometimes other specialist subjects. </li></ul>
