  • 8. BIG PICTURE ISSUES
    • Students are most productive in familiar and SAFE settings – return to, and strengthen, the community school concept. Provide equity among east side, west side and central.
    • Our students and teachers deserve the same opportunities as others – 21 st century learning tools and healthy environments with good light, venting, acoustics, seismic and PRIDE.
    • We need to use funding wisely and protect our assets for the long term. Reinvest in some buildings now and retire the “money pits” to reduce operating costs and stimulate the economy.
