  • 4. TO THE TEACHER This book was written to teach children how tocommunicate. The activities and exercises in this bookare easy and at the same time challenging. Since this is alanguage book, you are expected to make sure that aftereach lesson, the children are expected to use in theirdaily conversation in class and with their classmateswhatever new concept they have learned. The main goal of this book is to enhance thecommunication skills of pupils in English. In this regard, two important skills are being developed in this book—listening and speaking skills. Since the children are stillat the stage wherein they could not read or some arebeginning to read, your role is to help them identify andunderstand the pictures and words. Thus, explainingconcepts or grammar rules should be done in a simpleway. More importantly, activities should be experiential.Let the children learn in context. Let the children havefun. Let the children talk. The Author
