Looking for Hair Transplant Surgery ?

Be at a right place....................>

What is Hair Transplant ?
-> Hair transplant is a surgical procedure in which person’s own hairs from the back and sides (Permanent Donor Zone) of the scalp are transplanted to the bald area.

What are the indications of hair transplant ?
-> The chief indication of hair transplant is baldness in males called “Male Pattern Baldness”. Other indications are female androgenetic alopecia, cicatricial alopecia (hair loss due to scarring from burns, injury, previous operation etc.)

How is the hair transplant done ?
-> Hair transplant is done under local-anesthesia. A skin strip of 12-15 cm long x 1-1.25 cm broad is harvested from the back and sides of the scalp (Permanent Donor Zone). The resultant gap is closed by special technique known as “Trichophytic closure” thus donor site becomes Invisible. Harvested skin strip is cut into multiple, very thin (1-1.5 mm) slices called as “slivers” using magnification which preserves the hair roots. The slivers are further separated/dissected using magnification into separate hair groups comprising of 1,2,3 or 4 hairs together. These hair groups are called “follicular units”. This dissection preserves the natural arrangement of follicular units which is very important for natural looking growth of new hairs. These separated follicular units with intact hair roots are implanted into the bald area making multiple small slits/punctures.

When can the patient join his duty?
-> Patient can join his duty from the very next day of hair transplant procedure.
