  • Overview
    • The IBM Lotus Connections 3.0 Files Plug-in provides the following features:
      • Upload files for your own use or to share with others
      • Drag and drop a file from your desktop or attached to a Notes e-mail to Files
      • Send a link to a file
      • Search for files
      • Sort files for easier browsing
      • Open Lotus Connections Files in a browser
    • The IBM Lotus Connections 3.0 Files Plug-in supports:
      • Lotus Connections 2.5 (latest fixpack)
      • Lotus Connections 3.0
      • Lotus Notes 8.5.1 FP5
      • Lotus Notes 8.5.2
  • Installation
    • Download the Plugin from the IBM Business Solution Catalog
      • Direct Link http://curi0.us/lc3files
    • Shut down your Notes Client
    • Unzip the file and run Setup
  • Installation
    • Click Next
  • Installation
    • Accept the license agreement
  • Installation
    • This warning will appear regardless if Notes is running
  • Installation
    • One more time click Install
  • Installation
    • Sit back and watch the install
  • Installation
    • Click Finish and restart Lotus Notes
  • Configuration
    • If you already have Lotus Connections (Activities) configured in Lotus Notes no further action is needed, the server URL and Credentials will be reused for the Status Plugin
    • If you have not yet configured this you will see the following screen (next slide)
  • Configuration
    • Click Show Preferences to Configure
  • Configuration
    • Enter the Connections URL, and your username and password
  • Work with Files
    • You can
      • Drag and Drop Files to Connections
        • Windows
        • Notes
      • E-mail links to files via drag and drop
