Toward the end of the 20th century, the advent of the Internet marked the first era in which most individuals could have a mean of exposure on a scale comparable to that of mass media. Mass media are designed to reach a large audience and now they include Internet. It is a worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computer networks that transmit data by packet switching using the standard Internet Protocol. It consists of millions of smaller domestic, academic, business, and governmental networks, which together carry various information and services.
Internet is the most interactive medium among mass media and it represents a successful way to inform and communicate. In the web agorà there aren’t truth guarantees for web news, so it’s necessary that people working as information provider have ethic conscience.
Press agencies, main subject which provide news to mass media, are the first tool of journalism from the 19th century still nowadays and they represent the operating avant-garde. News agencies are the only tool able to use Internet products and they can only survive if they manage, check and control information and web news.
