    • It’s a piece of Cake! Cake Company Project
    • Cake Design Project
      • You will be designing a cake for a client and presenting them with a portfolio.
      • Here is an example of your role as the “Cake Boss” for an “Ace of Cakes” company who makes “Amazing Wedding Cakes” among other things

    • Client Meeting
      • Take good notes, you only meet with your client once and you want to make a good impression that you were listening to them…..
    • Think about it….
      • OPTIONS
      • You don’t have to do exactly what your client says, but you want to make them happy
      • Type of Cake/Frosting
      • Size/Design
      • LIMITS
      • Your cake must be made entirely of geometric shapes (or parts of those shapes) and include at least one of each:
        • Sphere
        • Cone or pyramid
        • Cylinder
        • Prism
    • Here are some cake ideas to help you out…

    • Plan it out…
      • Draw a rough draft.
      • Share your idea with someone? Did they think it was good?
      • Decide on colors.
      • Use a ruler to help you label important dimensions (in inches) for a decent sized cake
    • Do it….
      • Produce a neat, colorful picture of your cake.
      • Use a full sheet of copy paper.
      • Neatly label the appropriate shapes.
      • Neatly label the dimensions in inches.
      • Write a short paragraph explaining the significance behind your cake and the Chinese New Year.
