  3. 3. What? • 2-3 Librarians, one day a week over an 8-10 week secondment • 2-3 new cross-campus Librarians involved in 3 trials to date (since May 2013) • Development of in-Librarian communication tool: Wiki • Library Guide - Data Management • Training plans La Trobe University 3

Outcomes • More journal articles, data and datasets (and growing) • Trained & enthusiastic, knowledgeable Faculty Librarians (on their way to greater data literacy) • More connections with Researchers • More work for Digital Infrastructure (indexing data and datasets) and creating records in Research Online • Creation of resources – Training workshops and a Library guide • A great opportunity to up-skill in an easy and effective way La Trobe University 5

Positives and challenges Positives • Fantastic experience • Great opportunity to up-skill • Making new academic connections • Working with colleagues, outside the Challenges • So much reading! • Communicating with Digital Infrastructure staff STE team (and other library (understanding our different department) priorities) • Learning about new trends (Making data available, etc.) • “Selling” the benefits to Researchers • Learning more about copyright, IP, ethics, open access challenges La Trobe University 6
