Cultural Distinctions Cultural Distinctions Presentation Transcript

  • Cultural Distinctions
  •  Worldview – a set of principles that govern the way we live and interact with others  These principles differ depending on where you are from, your background, etc.  Culture greatly influences self and perception (how you think and feel about yourself)
  •  The measure of social inequality in cultures  Think about this - how do employees where you work talk with their boss? What is the interaction like between your family?  The United States is a low power distance country. What does this mean? Do you agree with this? What are some countries that might be high power distance?
