    • Look at the following exam questions and then select three key words that you would use to write the perfect exam answer…..
    • Explain the formation of a volcano. (4 marks)

    • Now pick 3 other key terms you haven’t yet used and write definitions for them.

Structure Key terms Develop ideas and adds detail Answers question Use named examples Use case study specifics Answer reflects the total marks available A – Key words are used widely and appropriately. Stages are explained clearly. Detailed account. C – Some key words used. Stages described but not in detail. Some statements may need further detailed, are unclear or in wrong order. E – No key words used. Simple account given. Some stages may be missed out.
  • 6. Why? What is happening here? Why? Why? Huge damage in Haiti’s capital Port au Prince due to an earthquake. Haiti is a LEDC…… … .so it doesn’t have the technology to predict and prepare for earthquakes…….. …… .and the buildings are poorly constructed due to their lack of wealth.
  • 7. What questions could we be asked in the exam linked to the photo??? What could be the title for your photo/picture? What key geographical words are linked to your photo/picture? Describe what it is in the photo and then explain it by answering 3 rounds of ‘WHY?’
