Coursera API Roadmap*• IMS Learning Tools Interoperability 1.1 to plug in external tools likeautograders or content systems from externally hosted systems• In-browser widget using OAuth 2.0 and in browser provisioned APIs• Dynamic question types HTML + JavaScript + Scala + Key,/Value per-student store - all hosted in the Coursera Infrastructure* I do not work for Coursera - this is just what I heard in a talk

  25. 25. Next Generation LMS Systems• Scalability and dynamic provisioning is the key• Instead of one server(or servers) per campus we have one server percourse• This is an $100 Million dollar rewrite from scratch - and a life/deathrace• Coursera is 30 engineers and edX is 20 Engineers
