The Children’s Services Council of Broward County is proud to fund 12 Youth FORCE (Friends, Opportunities, Resources, Counseling, Education) programs that target more than 1,000 students at 21 school and community sites. These programs provide at-risk middle school students with year-round services designed to improve self-esteem, develop skills, and increase access to community resources in order to promote success.     • www.cscbroward.org Youth FORCE Target Population • 12 programs target over 1,000 middle school students at 21 school and community sites. • Eligible youth present risk factors that include: – poor school performance – delinquency – history of abuse/neglect – low-income – residence in a high crime area – history of substance abuse or behavioral health issues
    • www.cscbroward.org Required Program Components 1. Individualized Assessment & Service Planning 2. Counseling & Connecting Activities 3. Academic Services & Supports 4. Teen Outreach Program (TOP) 5. Nutrition & Fitness Activities 6. Cultural Arts & Enrichment Activities 7. Positive Youth Development Activities
    • www.cscbroward.org Program Outcomes 1. 75% will decrease risky behaviors 2. 80% will improve school performance 3. 100% will not use alcohol or drugs 4. 100% will not get pregnant or cause a pregnancy 5. 95% will have no new law violations 6. 95% will not have any new law violations during 1-year follow-up period
