2) Converting VOB to compressed file (avi or mp4)
Open Movie Library ++ and drag the VOB file you want to convert and drop it on the main table (Fig. a).
Fig. a
The program will then import the file into the library (Fig. b), if a match for the name of the video has been found a panel will pop up on the right
hand side giving you options of the matches found and if one fits select it and click confirm if not or if you don't want to update anything yet click
cancel or don't select anything and confirm.
Fig. b
The video will now be imported in the library, to convert it, select it, and right click on it and click on \"Convert Selected Video\" (Fig. c). You can also
schedule to convert many videos in one go, to do that import all the videos you want to convert and instead of clicking \"Convert Selected Video\"
from the right click menu click on \"Add all videos to convert\", this will add all the videos to the conversion list, but if you want to convert only some
of the videos in the library you can add the videos you want to convert one by one by selecting them one by one and choosing \"Add video to
conversion list\" from the right click menu.
Fig. c
On Fig. d you can see the conversion list opened (left window) the conversion profile choice window and the main program window. The
conversion list only has one video and the profile choice window will open when you click \"convert selected video\" or \"convert selected videos\"
from the main menu right click menu or from the tools menu or from the right click menu of the conversion list.
Fig. d
When you select a profile in the profile choice window a quick description of the codecs used and settings of the profile will appear (Fig. e). Choose
the one you want and click ok to start the conversion process.
When you are converting a list of videos all the videos will be converted using the same chosen profile.

2) Converting VOB to compressed file (avi or mp4)
This page shows you some of the screens you will see during encoding.
When the conversion process starts the first thing that will be done is the auto crop and scale detection (Fig. a).
Fig. a
Then if you have selected a two pass encoding profile the first pass will start (Fig. b) and then the second pass (Fig. c). If you have selected a
single pass encoding profile it will sinply do a one pass encoding. In the window you will be able to see an estimation of time left, percentage done
and file size. These will not be displayed for the PSP and iPod profiles yet but they are very quick so just be patient (probably around 15 minutes
conversion time for a 2h video).
Fig. b
Fig. c
If you have chosen an H.264 profile after the second pass has finished a muxing function will run (Fig. d), this consists off converting the output file
from .avi to .mp4 (to be compatible with Quicktime).
Fig. d
2) Converting VOB to compressed file (avi or mp4)
This page shows you some of the end screens you might see.
If you cancel the encoding it will be displayed in the conversion log window and an error will be given on the conversion list. (Fig. a).
Fig. a
If the encoding has finished successfully you will have a finished message on the conversion log window and a processed message in the
conversion list and the new converted file will be automatically added to the library (Fig. b) and saved in the chosen or default (drive with the most
free space) media folder, you can see where it is by clicking Tools-->Preferences and change it from the File menu.
