    Notes on slide 1

Have them vote on their level of familiarity with using groups and land using Sloodle Choice

Will we do the Groups class first? Or throw them in the deep end? I can do the groups class pretty fast in person, I am guessing.

Team Project #1: The Power of Groups
      • Pick one member of your team to create a group in Second Life. This will cost $100L which will be provided if needed.
      • Once the group is created, the person who created it should add another member of your team to the group. When this person is added to the group, they should in turn add the next member of your team until all members of your team are a member of the group. The final member of your team added to the group should add TanbouOggto the group.
      • Now work together as a team to find how to make Tanbou officers in your group.
      • Give the officer role in the group the ability to invite people to the group and to create new roles in the group.
    24. Optimizing Second Life
Team Project #2: Managing Parcels of Land
      • Tanbou or Stargazer will cut a parcel for each team and deed that parcel to your team.
      • Your team must set that parcel for group access only. (The group that you created in the first exercise.)
      • In your parcel, only group members should be able to create objects, enter objects and run scripts. Your parcel should be a “safe” and not allow damage.
      • Voice should be enabled in your parcel.
      • Adjust your group settings so that all your group members have full parcel rights.
      • Finally, rez a prim in the shape of a video screen and set it up to play a video to your parcel. You may use the following video URL if you wish:
