Born in West Palm Beach, Florida
Moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994
High-tech marketing executive the past 15 years including Sitecore, Lyris, Nokia, Cisco, Sun, Philips and his own Internet startup

1987: Erick Mott created the Copy Grip while in college. He sold more than 100,000 units via his first company before the Internet/Web became big.
2002: Launched Creator Connection to build an online community for creators; redesigned the Copy Grip for the Internet/Web and secured a patent. The original Copy Grip was improved and became the Desktop Media Solution.
2007: Launched the creatorbase.comblog to help license or transfer the patent and related manufacturing assets – while working full-time for others.
2011: Inspired by ABC Shark Tank, Erick submitted a proposal in early 2011. His vice president of community position at a software company was eliminated on May 31, 2011. Now focused on making the Desktop Media Solution a success!
