My name is Amanda Hirsch. I have had dogs my whole life. I prefer dogs to babies. I talk to dogs I pass on the street. I am obsessed with Cosmo. I do not take criticism of him well. 1. 9/99 - Saw ad in Washington Post 2. Called lady to make sure puppies were still available 3. Booted up computer, used Mapquest to get directions, printed directions 4. Drove from Chevy Chase, Maryland to Winchester, VA in our red Saturn 5. Met Cosmo and his brother 6. Cosmo came over to sniff us – a good sign!!!! 7. Got Cosmo & drove home

 Names considered included: Jackson Homer Brownie Mr. Woofles Baron von Barksalot Dog Little Dog These names made Cosmo sad, like this baby 

 Age: 9.5 Eyes: Brown  Hair: Black, tan  Height: Not sure  Weight: 35 pounds  Tail: Long, furry

 Border collie?  Australian shepherd?  German shepherd?  Spaniel of some sort? Dachsund?  We don’t know.

QUESTION: Does Cosmo lift his leg to pee? ANSWER: YES!!!!!!

 He looks cute  Reminds me of our old apartment where this was taken. The date stamp helped me remember this.  It’s funny b/c it looks like he’s reading the paper but he isn’t really!  I think it’s the NY Times but it might be the Post - I like the ambiguity.
