In the Bible, Colossians 2:8 reads – “Beware lest any man take you captive through vain and deceitful philosophy, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Since Darwin published his book of Origins 150 years ago, civilization has been on a dangerous journey of replacing God and His creation of the Universe, with what the Bible calls the “vain and deceitful” philosophies of men. These men…and women….. have been teachers, politicians, rock stars, news anchors, even some pastors and preachers. Those philosophies are evolution, naturalism, humanism, Nazism, Marxism, socialism, etc.. These philosophies have led to the social diseases of racism, abortion, eugenics, materialism, and more......

This is not going to be your average breakout session. Today, we are going to look at the deadly consequences of adopting an evolution-based worldview, which is the religion of evolution. But, before we do so, let’s pray: “ Dear Lord, this breakout has been bathed in prayer. I continue to pray, now, that You would anoint our time together here for the next few minutes. Use my mouth, Lord, to give these adults and students the words you would have me to share. Focus our minds on the important lessons, give us discernment, and help us to remember what we learn so that we can be ready to give a defense of what we believe. May you be glorified in what we say and do, Lord. Amen.” The verse on the screen is Colossians 2:8 – “Beware lest any man take you captive through vain and deceitful philosophy, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Since Darwin published his book of Origins 150 years ago, civilization has been on a dangerous journey of replacing God and His creation of the Universe, with what the Bible calls the “vain and deceitful” philosophies of men. These men…and women….. have been teachers, politicians, rock stars, news anchors, even some pastors and preachers. Those philosophies are evolution, naturalism, humanism, Nazism, Marxism, socialism, etc.. Paul warned us of being taken captive by these people and their ideas. *
Naturalism is the view that nothing supernatural had a part in creation. Naturalism has replaced Christianity as the main religion of the Western world, and evolution is naturalism’s principal precept. Naturalism and evolution are faith-based, although it’s difficult to get an evolutionist to admit it. Since scientists can’t observe the past and they can’t recreate what happened in the past, they have to accept evolution on faith. All of us either have a naturalistic worldview * * * or a religious worldview. A worldview is like a pair of glasses or a filter through which everything we come into contact with, with any of our senses, is interpreted. All of us interpret our world according to our presuppositions. In regard to how our world and the universe came into being, we all have a worldview of Creation or a worldview of Evolution. * We either see the world according to a mindset that believes that God created the universe and everything in it,…. or we look at our world with a mindset that we are nothing more than evolved pondscum and when you die that’s the end? *
For example…..if I have a Christian * worldview and I look at the universe I will see the wonder of God’s creation and I will be in awe of how great and mighty God is. On the other hand, if I have an evolutionist’s * worldview, I am going to wonder how all of that randomness and chaos that was created by the Big Bang, brought itself together into planets, solar systems, and universes over bazillions of years….totally contrary to the Second Law of Thermodynamics (but…that’s another breakout for another year). *
If I have a creationist’s * worldview, I will look at a tiny baby and consider how he is created in God’s image; and marvel at the wonders of his tiny hands and toes. And pray that he grows up to serve his Creator God. If I have an evolutionist’s * worldview, I will see an animal just like any other animal on Earth, with no more intrinsic value than a snake or a snail or a monkey. Biblical Christianity teaches that God created man in His image, breathed the breath of life into him, and gave him an eternal soul,… evolution has life evolving from amoeba to fish to reptile to monkey to man, all through time, chance, and mutation…..This totally negates any purpose in life and gives mankind no more value than that of any other animal. We know what evolution is ………..but, in the next few minutes, we are going to look at some of the results of having an evolutionist’s worldview, and the impact that a belief in evolution has had in our world. *
* How many of you gave one thought to evolution last week? * Probably none of you. Most people regard evolution as just a biological theory of no great consequence in their lives, * ….but, they have no idea of its tremendous influence. * While we aren’t even thinking about it , we are affected by evolution in our everyday lives. * We are barraged by evolutionary thinking and bias that surrounds us on a daily basis. It is impossible to watch Discovery or Animal Planet or the ScyFy network, or sitcoms, talk shows, etc. without hearing evolutionary-influenced dialogue. *
* We are starting with our children when they are young, * and indoctrinating them with the myth of evolution. * In many states, evolution is required from the very early grades, * and the Biblical account of creation is forbidden to be taught. * * * * I’m reading this book right now……..look at this… * ….”Parenting Beyond Belief: On Raising Ethical Caring Kids Without Religion.” Really? There are no ethics..or laws…without a Lawgiver, remember? Evolution is a worldview, a religion , of death. I don’t just mean the death that is required for the process of evolution to take place, either. We are going to look at the millions upon millions of deaths that have been caused by the religion of evolution. Evolution has so pervaded our society, that many churches are now even teaching evolution as fact and compromising a faithful stand on Scripture. They insist they believe the Bible is inerrant and authoritative, but they are willing to reinterpret Genesis to accommodate evolutionary theory. Thousands of churches participated in 2009’s Day of Darwin, celebrating him and his famous book. Look at this…… *
The Church of England has a new section on its website, dedicated to the evolutionist, Charles Darwin, and to mark the 200 th anniversary of his birth. The Church offered an apology to Charles Darwin for misunderstanding him. What a disappointment……..for an entire Christian faith to apologize to Darwin……especially after how horribly evolution has influenced society. *
The religion of Evolution is racist. You are probably thinking……”but people were racist before Darwin wrote his book.” And you’d be right. *
Even the leading evolutionist of our day, Stephen Jay Gould, said, “ Biological arguments for racism may have been common before 1859 (that’s when Darwin’s book was published), * but they increased by orders of magnitude following the acceptance of evolutionary theory.” * …… *
One of Darwin’s closest friends was Professor Adam Sedgwick. After he had read his friend’s book, he said “If this book were to find general public acceptance, it would bring with it a * brutalization of the human race such as it had never seen before.” 4 Remember that quote about the brutalization of the human race….because in a few minutes we are going to see that brutality. *
This is the book Professor Sedgwick was talking about…..Darwin’s book,….. generally referred to as “Origins;” “The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection” It has a longer subtitle that is rarely mentioned because it’s embarrassing for evolutionists to admit to. . * .… “Or The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.” Did you catch that wording?... * .. . “Favoured Races??!!!” What’s that mean………..that means that Darwin believed that ONE (finger quotes) “RACE” of man had prevailed in the struggle for life, and had become the supreme “race” on the face of the Earth. According to Darwin the favored race was the European whites. As for Asians and African races and others, Darwin taught that they had fallen behind in the fight for survival. I’ll tell you why I put finger quotes around the word “race” in a minute. I’m sure that we have people from different ethnic groups here, and I don’t intend to offend anyone, but remember that I said that evolution is racist. We are going to cover some sensitive and touchy subjects, and look at some offensive illustrations, so hang in there with me, okay? *

This is Darwin’s own evolutionary tree. He had already said in his book, “Origin of the Species,” that the natives of Australia and Negroes were at the same level of evolution as gorillas and claimed that these races would disappear. * As for the races which he saw as “inferior,” Darwin said that it was essential to keep them from multiplying so that they would come to extinction. *
Here is a quote by Darwin from another of his books, “The Descent of Man.” * “At some future period…the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace the savage races throughout the world.” *
Remember how Professor Sedgwick said that evolution would create “brutalization” of the human race? Let’s start with an example of brutality to one human, brought on by the religion of evolution: * A man named Ota Benga was born in Central Africa in 1881, he was married, had two children and was a successful hunter. (sounds fairly “civilized,” right?) One day he returned home from hunting to find his home destroyed and his wife, children, and friends slaughtered. This was all done by the Belgian government in an effort to rid the world of “evolutionary inferior natives.” Ota was bought at a slave auction and brought to the US in 1904. But the Americans did not bring him to the US in an attempt to save him. No… * …. He was put on display in the Bronx Zoo and for the first time ever, a human being was being displayed in a cage in a zoo. When Ota was eventually released, he found a home in Lynchburg, VA, was employed as a tobacco farm worker, became a baptized Christian, and even occasionally attended classes at Virginia Theological Seminary. An ape would have never been able to do any of those things. Depression finally got the best of Ota and he committed suicide in 1916. * When outraged public figures were trying to get Ota released,.. * ..an article in the Times newspaper reported, * “Evolution is now taught in the textbooks of all the schools, * and it is no more debatable than the multiplication table.” *
Look at these beautiful people… they are Australian Aborigines…..….you can see love and intelligence and honor in their eyes. Yet, During the same years that Ota Benga was imprisoned in the Bronx Zoo, Australian scientists were on a venture to bring home * some “missing link” specimens. 10,000 or more of Australia’s Aborigines were slaughtered and shipped to British museums…..and……the remains of over 15,000 Aborigines, were hunted down and killed and brought to the States to be studied by Smithsonian scientists…….all in the name of evolution. *
* There was no man ever more committed to exterminating the “savage races” than Adolf Hitler. * Keep in mind that the “savage race” mentality is a result of evolutionary thinking. * During World War II, the total number of Holocaust victims was between 10-17 million people. * In the movie, “Boy in the Striped Pajamas,” * speaking of the Jews, one Nazi says, “They’re not really people.” Just like the Aryan racists of today, Hitler sought to exterminate all non-Caucasian people in order to fill the Earth with the Supreme Race. Hitler’s ideas for his program of extermination actually originated in the United States. I’ll explain that in a few minutes. *
Hitler’s friend, Sir Arthur Keith was a British anthropologist and an atheistic evolutionist, and he said: “The German Führer, as I have consistently maintained, is an evolutionist ; he has consciously sought to make the practice of Germany conform to the theory of evolution.” * He also said,……grasp this………this is a devout, atheistic evolutionist saying this… * … “"Evolution is unproved and is unprovable. We believe in it because Creation is unthinkable.” Remember what I said about evolution being faith-based. He just admitted it. *
I told you that I would explain why I “finger quote” the term “race.” ……here’s the reason….…what we think of as “race” does not, in reality, exist. From the Creation of man 6,000 or so years ago, all men have been one kind in Adam. We are all biological descendants of Adam,…we are all made in the image and likeness of God. Gen. 9:5-6, “In the image of God, has God made man.” Acts 17:26….from one man, God made every nation of men. So, why do we look different and live in different parts of the world? We can find out why by looking in Genesis. In Chapter 9, after the great flood, God had told Noah and his family to be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the Earth . * But only two chapters later, in Chapter 11, .. * ..the men of Babel had settled in a city and were building a tower to “make a name for themselves and * lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth .” They were rebelling against God. At this point in time, all people spoke the same language, so at Babel, God gave them different languages, so they couldn’t communicate and work together to build the tower. And when they realized that they could no longer communicate with everyone, they divided themselves into groups according to those that did speak the same language. This automatically limited the gene pools of each language group. These groups of people began interbreeding, and that concentrated different physical features, and developed into different ethnic groups. It is these ethnic groups that most people refer to today as “races.” We are all one “race,” one kind, ….we are all just different shades of brown…..and we all have the DNA within us to selectively breed us backward to the pure Adam. Just as dog breeders can take two mutts of mixed breeds and in several generations breed them backward to one pure breed, given enough generations, we could breed all men backward to the pure Adamic bloodline. *
This is amazing, and so, so true. Recently, in Louisiana, African American State Representative Sharon Weston Broome said that, * "Darwin's ideas on how humans evolved are racist and are the key reason for race problems [and] provide the main rationale for racism." As Broome logically concluded, * "If evolution has provided the main rationale for racism, …and we are teaching our children evolution in schools,………. then correspondingly we are teaching them racist principles.“ ** Whew…….that’s a lot about race……..but, the tragedy of Racism is not the only example of the worldview of evolution providing the basis for killing off the human race. *
You might have been thinking, all this stuff with the Holocaust and Ota Benga and the slaughter of Aborigines is way in the past. None of this is relevant to us today. Well, let me ask you……how many of you were born in the 1990s or lived through the 1990s. Wow, is that almost all of you? Well, how many of you have ever heard of “eugenics”? * E-u-g-e-n-i-c-s….. Probably not many, but it happened in your lifetime. Let me tell you about it……. In 1869 Darwin’s cousin, Francis Galton, founded the science of Eugenics; the study of ways to improve hereditary physical and mental characteristics of a race or breed. The American Eugenics Society was formed in 1922 and was not dissolved until……….. 1994. That’s within your lifetimes. Eugenics advoc a tes the improvement of human hereditary qualities through selective breeding. You know about selective breeding…..it is used to enhance qualities in purebred animals…..but Eugenics refers to humans. *
The American Eugenics Society had a widespread campaign; here you can see an exhibit at the Kansas State Fair. Eugenicists didn’t believe that the government should spend its money to care for people they called “unfit.” * Rather, it should be used to further “the glory of the country.” Eugenics was used as justification for hatred of the poor, alcoholics, drug addicts, and other social misfits. You adults will either remember “sanitoriums” or at least your parents would definitely remember these institutions that many poor or mentally handicapped would be sent to. The spread of eugenics propaganda convinced 27 states to pass laws against racial intermarriage and forced sterilization of those deemed mentally defective. * 33 states adopted forced sterilization programs to prevent the "feeble-minded" and other "defectives" from reproducing. Remember how I told you that Hitler’s Holocaust had its beginnings in America? *
In 1904, the Station for Experimental Evolution at Cold Spring Harbor, NY, * was founded with funding from Carnegie, Rockefeller, and others. It was also the location of the Eugenics Record Office. * Alexander Graham Bell was its first director. And it was a man from this office, Harry H. Laughlin, who was sent to advise Hitler’s Germans. * Rockefeller founded the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute, and exported Eugenics to Germany, with “Hope for a world wide campaign” (of Eugenics). *
In a Supreme Court case of “Buck vs. Bell” Chief Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., decided, QUOTE, "it is better for all the world, if instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime, or to let them starve for their imbecility,… * .. society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind . . . . Three generations of imbeciles are enough.“ He was saying that stupid people ought to be sterilized so that they don’t breed more stupid people. Who is going to judge who is smart enough to procreate and who isn’t? This set a precedent which resulted in the court-ordered ,involuntary sterilization of more than 60,000 men and women from 1907 through the 1960s. This took place in our own United States of America, and…. Keep remembering………..we are talking about the results of an evolutionary worldview that divides the human “race” into inferior and superior kinds. Hitler and the Eugenicists were trying to help evolution along in its effort to help the “fittest” survive. *
Margaret Sanger was the President of the “American Birth Control League.” One of the goals of her organization was…… * …. to purify America's human "breeding stock" and purge America's "bad strains.” *
She also said, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.” Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing everyone that she designated as "unfit," a plan she said would be the "salvation of American civilization.” *
Sanger called for the end of the “problem of the feeble-minded and the menace of the moron” – * people she called the “dead weight of human waste.” Her efforts have been so successful that, in the 2008 book, * “Liberal Fascist,” the author wrote that abortion today * “ends more black lives than heart disease, cancer, accidents, AIDS, and violent crime combined.” 6 Sanger said, “ it is a vicious cycle; ignorance breeds poverty and poverty breeds ignorance. There is only one cure for both, and that is to stop breeding these things. * Stop bringing to birth children whose inheritance cannot be one of health or intelligence.” Notice how she said, “Stop bringing to birth.” * You know what she means by that……..she means, “abort.” So………it is not surprising to note that……. *
Sanger’s “American Birth Control League” became known later as….. * “Planned Parenthood,” which has thousands of abortion clinics around the globe. I took a brief look at the present-day Planned Parenthood website. There is not one photo of a baby on the site. But, there are descriptions of developing human embryos. * Planned Parenthood describes babies with tail nubs and webbed feet and hands early in the pregnancy. This is P.P.’s attempt to dehumanize unborn babies. If they can keep the mother from thinking about the baby as a baby….as human…..they can better get her to kill it. Planned Parenthood is not about delivering healthy babies……it is about killing as many unborn babies….and babies who have already been born………. as possible. To evolutionists, babies are just animals….with tails and webbed hands and feet. This is another Holocaust…..only this time it’s our children, our future, our heritage. *
I like this billboard that’s about three miles from here: It says, “God, send us someone to cure AIDS, cancer, etc. etc.” And God answered, “I did….but you aborted them.”
Can you see the baby in this ultrasound picture? This is my beautiful grandson, Parker, son of Zach and Rocky, who was born on 2.10.2010. This was him three months before he was born. * You can see him scratching his head with his finger, at the arrow. His fingers are not webbed. Another ultrasound showed him sucking his thumb. But evolutionists say that Parker wasn’t fully human at this point. On the Planned Parenthood website, you will read where they say that he’s not a baby until he takes his first breath. Abortion activists work hard to never call an unborn baby a “baby.” They will call him an embryo, a fetus, “tissue,” or “uterine contents.” *
Let me show you another photo, taken in 1975. * This is my firstborn son, Arthur. A normal pregnancy is 40 weeks. Arthur was born at 28 weeks….3 months early…..same as the previous photo of Parker…..at a point in pregnancy when many babies are aborted. I have elected to not show you the horrific photos of abortions….they are widely available on the internet if you want to see them. A priest friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s, Father Frank Pavone, said… * , “America won't reject abortion until America sees abortion.” When you can go to your room, where you can cry and vomit in private, or with your parents, take a look at abortions online. Does Arthur look human to you??? Millions of babies are aborted every year who are as fully formed as Arthur was. Yet abortion doctors cut them up while they are still inside their mother’s bodies, or burn them with acid, or pierce their skulls and suck out their brains, or decapitate them, just so they will not be born alive. Even being born alive is not a problem for abortionists, though. Some abortion doctors will either kill a live baby or set it aside to die on its own. President Obama supports this practice, which is called “live birth abortion.” *
We are short on time, but I urge you to go to this website on your own, * www.bornalivetruth.org, where a nurse discusses how she learned that the hospital where she worked was performing what she later learned was a very common procedure called “live birth abortion.” This is when a baby is delivered alive and then is just not given any attention, so that it dies. *
When he was a senator, President Obama voted against the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act” all 3 times it came up for a vote. He said that, “If one of my daughters make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.” Thankfully, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act passed in 2002, but doctors and hospitals continue to perform these live abortions when they can get away with it. *
Every year, 46 million babies are aborted worldwide….one baby every two seconds. In fact, abortion is the most common surgical procedure performed in the United States. Belief in evolution makes it much easier to kill an unborn baby. If we can slaughter chickens and cows for dinner or hit a dog in the road and not lose sleep over it, then we ought to be able to kill our unborn child that is no more valuable than a chicken, or a dog, and go about our day with no more thought for it than the cow we ate for lunch. The Bible assures us that a baby is fully-human from conception. And, in being fully human, he has a soul. Jesus Christ died for the soul of that unborn child. That fact gives that baby infinite value in God’s sight. * * Yet you brought me out of the womb; …..From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God (Psalm 22:9-10). * * For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. …When I was woven together …, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:13-16). * * The word of the LORD came to me, saying, " Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; " (Jeremiah 1:4-5). *
It is amazing to me * that the same evolutionists who support abortion rights * are frequently the same ones who loudly support Save The Whales, * Save the Seals, * Endangered Species, etc. * The woman who founded PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said, “There is no rational basis for saying that a human being has special rights…A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy.” (Ingrid Newkirk) She said that killing animals for food was much worse than the Holocaust, when she said, * “Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughterhouses.” When, what the world needs to do is…. *
………………… . * ……………… save the baby humans. There is a magazine called Wild Earth that promotes radical environmentalism. It included a manifesto calling for the extinction of the human race. The anonymous author wrote, “If you haven’t given voluntary human extinction much thought before, the idea of a world with no people in it may seem strange. But, if you give it a chance, I think you might agree that the extinction of Homo sapiens would mean survival for millions, if not billions, of Earth-dwelling species * ….Phasing out the human race will solve every problem on earth, social and environmental.” That is worse than merely inane, irrational, immoral, or humiliating; it is deadly. Who did Jesus die for?.....whales, seals, owls, snails??..........no, Jesus loves each of you so much that, if you were the only human to ever live, He would have given His life for YOU!! *
Moving along……….Who here knows what Euthanasia is? Euthanasia is also referred to as mercy killing and falls into the category with right-to-die and assisted suicide. For the evolutionist, who doesn’t value human life over any other life, it becomes easy to “pull the plug” on a person and kill him/her by saying it is “for their own good.” But, if you begin to legalize euthanasia, then you have doctors and hospitals begin making the decisions that are not in the best interest of the person or the person’s family. If it is going to cost the hospital $4,000 to treat a woman or $40 to kill her, they are going to be pressured to take the cheapest route. The evolutionist doesn’t care…..he agrees with Margaret Sanger…….these human beings that Jesus died for are just “human waste” in their eyes. There is even an organization called…. * …The Church of Euthanasia. Their web page advocates suicide, abortion, cannibalism, and sodomy as the main ways to decrease the human population. They have one commandment, which is “Thou shall not procreate.” Thousands of people have paid the $10 to join the church. *
There are some people, like Hitler, who give their lives in the service of evolution, and they think they are performing a great service by helping mankind evolve. If we do our research, we can find where a good percentage of people who commit murder and other violent crimes are doing it in the name of evolution. Let’s look at a few: * Many of you have heard of Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer, who killed 17 men and boys between 1978-1991. In an interview with Stone Phillips, Dahmer said that his strong belief in evolution played a part in his crimes. * His dad sent him some creationist literature in prison, he understood the lie of evolution and saw how it cheapens life, and he eventually became a Christian. *
These pictures are from Columbine…. the location of the deadliest high school massacre in US history. One of the Columbine shooters wrote on his Web site, * “You know what I love? Natural selection! It's the best thing that ever happened to the Earth. Getting rid of all the stupid and weak organisms.'“ Eric Harris entitled his journal, “The Writings of God.” In it he wrote, “Sometime in April …(we)….will get revenge and will kick natural selection up a few notches.” The date of the shooting coincided with Adolf Hitler’s birthday. Klebold and Harris made videos of themselves making plans. * The language on the tapes is very foul, so I can’t quote it directly, but Dylan Klebold said that he and Harris were god-like….not exactly human…we have human bodies but we’ve evolved into one step above you…humans……we’ve reached godhood via evolution and natural selection. During the shooting, Eric Harris wore a shirt that read “Natural Selection.” In November 2007, there was another high school massacre in Helsinki, Finland. The last words of the student gunman were, “I am prepared to fight and die for my cause,…I, as a natural selector, will eliminate all who I see unfit, disgraces of human race and failures of natural selection.. * .. No, the truth is that I am just an animal, a human, an individual, a dissident…It’s time to put natural selection and survival of the fittest back on tracks!!” *
Not all results of an evolutionary worldview are violent. * You all have been exposed to enough Biblical teaching to know that the society that we live in today is closer to that of Sodom and Gomorrah than it is to the perfect world God created in Eden; * but you probably did not think about how that amorality is related to Darwinian thinking. * The Biblical worldview, based on what God’s Word says about marriage, family, and sex, is totally opposed to the practices of pornography, * adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality * and any practice of sex before or outside of the marriage between one man and one woman. * When Adam and Eve realized they were naked, God made clothes for them. We are to save our nakedness for our marriage partner. There are passages throughout the Bible, old and new testaments, that tell us that we are to save sex for marriage and to keep all sex contained within marriage. But, the evolutionist worldview sees mankind as no different from animals…..and, animals are not discriminating in their mating behaviors. *
See, the problem is, evolution has no way to account for morals. In the evolutionist’s worldview, everything that exists is material. Morals are not material, so there is no way for them to evolve. You cannot have laws without a Lawgiver. The world’s best-known evolutionist/atheist of our day is Professor Richard Dawkins and even he does not have an answer to the morals question. He said,… * “I am not advocating a morality based on evolution…My own feeling is that a human society based simply on the gene’s law of universal ruthless selfishness would be a very nasty society in which to live.” 3 He sounds a lot like Professor Sedgwick there, doesn’t he? What he is saying is, that if we based our morals on evolution’s tenets, which is survival of the fittest—every-man-for-himself--, that would make for a society in which every man would fear for his life and every thing that he owned. There would be no morals and no laws that said that a man could not take anything he wanted from anyone else. Murder, stealing, adultery and rape would be the “laws” to live by. * It just illustrates the bankruptcy of Darwinian morality and should give us all great concern if this is the morality, or lack thereof, that is replacing the historic Christian basis of traditional values. In the American Atheist magazine, one author wrote about Christianity. He said, “Christianity has fought, still fights, and will fight science to the desperate end over evolution, because evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus’ earthly life was supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and the original sin, and in the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the son of God. Take away the meaning of his death. * If Jesus was not the redeemer that died for our sins, and this is what evolution means , then Christianity is nothing….evolutionary biology tells us loud and clear…There are no gods, no purposes, no goal-directed forces of any kind. There is no life after death. When I die, I am absolutely certain that I am going to be dead. That’s the end for me. There is no ultimate foundation for ethics, no ultimate meaning to life, and no free will for humans, either.” *
In the evolutionary religion, God is left out, and the only other option for supreme authority is man. If that is the case, then each person can determine what is right and wrong in his or her own eyes (Judges 17:6). Evolution is being taught in all parts of the world, so it is logical to assume that this influence will sadly continue to bear more of the same fruit….abortion, racism, euthanasia, killing, rape, stealing…………..the breaking of all of the rules and all the commandments. * Next time you are tempted to make a racial slur, remember that you are related to that person and Jesus died for that other person just as He died for you. * If you are contemplating sex outside of marriage, remember God’s commandments, and remember that you were made in God’s image; you are not an animal that doesn’t discriminate in who you have sex with. * If you or a friend is considering abortion, remember, that baby is fully human and to kill it is murder, and Jesus died for its precious soul. Evolutionism is diametrically opposed to the Christian faith and practice. It is bad enough to be the victim of evolution-encouraged racism or evolution-incited warfare, but it is far worse to lose one’s soul because of evolution-distorted theology. The creation-evolution issue is more than just academic questions about biology or geology; it’s at the very center of human belief and behavior. So, be prepared to choose your religion. Will it be God-centered or man-centered; theistic creationism or evolutionary humanism. Life or death? I encourage you to pick up these materials and take them home and study further.
