1. The shot I chose from our title sequence is of our main protagonist along with the title of the film slowly sitting up with an
opacity effect. The other image is from the movie ‘Through a glass darkly’ where the character is also on her knees but is facing
towards the camera. Both images show that both characters are mentally instable as on the way they are sitting. Both character
are wearing similar clothing (white dress/nighty). We cannot see the facial expression of Isabelle but in the first picture we can
see the expression of the character, it is like a cry for help. In both images both characters appear to be lonely. Both characters
show that they feel trapped and maybe seeking a need for escape. In the left image the character appears to be in an empty
room whereas Isabelle is in darkness which can emphasis an abusive childhood and that they may be more to what is being shown
despite that they are women. This projects the emphasis of women being weak and less courageous as they cannot stand up for
themselves though both are capable of committing murders which can contradict the representation. Both characters show
that from their past they are hiding something hidden from the past that may trigger their illness. This brings a more older social
crowd as usually the young groups are more into watching action packed movies and that this may prove difficult to understand.
