  4. 4. …Other geographical info…<br />Yellow River (Huang He) is located towards the eastern coast of China and drifts all the way to Central China.<br />China’s Neighbors: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Burma, India, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Vietnam.<br />David<br />

Political and Social<br />Phil<br />Shang leaders ruled in China. <br />They were in charge of religion, the economy, warfare, etc.<br />The Shang leaders were the beginning of the government in China.<br />Royalty was passed down from oldest to youngest brothers.<br />They were a civilization that created bronze.<br />They left a lot of written records.<br />The Shang ruled in cities.<br />

Religion<br />They believed in one ruling god: Shang-Ti<br />They also believed that king’s ancestors were gods.<br />The king was thought to have the ability to talk with the gods through magic/ divination<br />Kings were also thought to predict wars and their outcomes, illnesses, birth, dreams, death, etc…<br />Michael<br />
  7. 7. Art<br />Michael<br />Their main form of art consisted of paintings.<br />Other forms of art were decorating drink vessels, wine containers, bowls, etc…<br />They even used kilns to make pottery.<br />
