The current system is not working<br />Ministries are falling through the cracks- no one to lead them<br />Many Session members still functioning as Team Leads<br />People are hesitant to join a “team”, as the job seems too large and daunting<br />Why make a change?<br /><ul><li>There is frustration over the lack of function
  3. 3. A desire to expand congregational participation and leadership, in order to further empower members to claim their Christian vocation</li></li></ul><li>Create a system that:<br />Organization Goals<br /><ul><li>Is both accountable and fluid

Ideas for new ministries (from congregation members) would be referred to the Elder relationship area panel (and the full Session if necessary) for review as to whether they fit into CPC’s current mission/vision</li></li></ul><li><ul><li>If approved, the Elder panel will identify a task leader to create a taskforce for implementing the program

  20. 20. ‘Roll-Out’ and Transition Cont.<br />Re-org Taskforce will consider any suggestions given during informational meetings and bring a final proposal to the October Stated meeting of Session<br />Elders grouped into 3 Relationship Area Panels- Think about where you are called to serve<br />Panels’ first task is to find Task Leaders for open positions in existing programs <br />Each Panel will establish its own process and schedule for reviewing task/ministry requests, continuous review of existing programs, receiving reports, and resolving action items<br /><ul><li>Feedback of “how it’s going” will be a standing Session agenda item
  21. 21. Full review and consideration of changes to be done at June 14, 2010 Session meeting</li></li></ul><li>Forms to be used:<br /><ul><li>Ministry Initiation Form
  22. 22. Completed by congregation member or group desiring to implement a new ministry, event or “task”

  24. 24. Submitted by Task Leader to Elder Relationship Area Panel
  25. 25. Monthly Status Reports when there is an activity or issue to be resolved
  26. 26. Ministry Completion/Annual Report at the completion of a short-term ministry task, or annually for long-term and on-going ministries
  27. 27. Task Leader “Standard Operating Procedure” Notebook Guidelines
  28. 28. Includes guidelines for Task Leaders on the information that should be documented
