1. 1. Alarm Types
 2. 2. Alarm Types Alarm types: -> VMD (Video Motion Detection) alarm -> Static Object alarm -> Presence alarm -> Path Detection alarm -> Object Removal alarm -> Object Started alarm -> Directional Motion alarm -> Speed VMD Static Object Presence Path Detection Object Removal Object Started Directional Motion
 3. 3. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

VMD (Video Motion Detection)

The VMD Alarm activates an alarm whenever any change is detected within the ROI

Use cases

Perimeter surveillance – Monitor the area between two physical or virtual fences for detection of object motion in said area that constitutes a perimeter breach.

 4. 4. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Static Object Alarm

The Static Object Alarm activates an alarm upon detection of a subject that remains static for more than a pre-defined number of seconds.

Use cases

Abandoned object – Detect packages / objects left by moving pedestrians in a public venue.

 5. 5. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Presence Alarm

The Presence Alarm activates an alarm instantly once a subject is present in the specified ROI, regardless of motion or direction.

Use cases

Intrusion into restricted areas – Viewing a relatively small area where persons are prohibited. alerts on the appearance of a person in a window or a doorway.

 6. 6. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Path Detection Alarm

The Path Detection alarms are used to detect whenever a subject crosses from one area to another in one direction or both directions.

Use cases

Motion pattern – In this use case the source zone may be placed in any image location relative to the detection zone provided that the object is tracked between the two zones.

 7. 7. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Object removal Alarm

The Object Removal Alarm activates an alarm whenever an object is fully removed from the specified ROI

Use cases

Object displaced – Detect displacement of object from its defined location as defined by the detection zone.

 8. 8. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Object removal Alarm

The Object Removal Alarm activates an alarm whenever an object is fully removed from the specified ROI

Use cases

Object occluded – Detect the partial / complete occlusion of the object for more than a user-defined time limit.

 9. 9. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Object started Alarm

The Object Started alarm activates whenever a static object starts to move inside the ROI.

Use case

Guarding on existing items – Detect static object starting to move such as a car exit from its parking.

 10. 10. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Directional motion Alarm

The Directional Motion alarm activates whenever an subject deviates from its direction in a pre defined angle.

Use case

Directional motion detection – Similar to motion detection with a direction criterion imposed, in order to assign special meaning / priority to an intrusion tactics in certain directions.

 11. 11. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Directional motion Alarm

The Directional Motion alarm activates whenever an subject deviates from its direction in a pre defined angle.

Use case

People moving in wrong direction – Detect people traveling the wrong way in busy environments, such as airport security exits .

 12. 12. Cortex™ - Rules Manager

Speed Alarm

The Speed alarm measures speed and activates an alarm whenever a subject exceeds the designated speed bounds

Use case

Fast speed vehicles – Detect vehicles driving faster than the maximum allowed speed.

Low speed vehicles – Detect vehicles driving slower than the minimum required speed
