Ever wake up in the morning and for no apparent reason you feel blah. Not a sick to your stomach
blah but a no energy, nobody loves me I'm going to the garden to eat worms, kind of blah. You are
not alone, many of us have just such a day. Now the positive thinkers and the law of attraction
folks probably have some words of wisdom on the subject but for me when I'm in a funk I don't
want to hear it!

Sometimes I just want to wallow in it...curl up with a cup of coffee and veg out; you know what,
that is okay. It may not be as easy for folks who have to head out into the work force or for the
mother and caregiver who have other people relying on them but they too have permission to just
be. No one can be up 100% of the time, if there is someone out there that is then please introduce
yourself, you could sell your secret and make a fortune.

But if we don't want to feel blah and don't have time to veg out, what do you do to go from blah to
bright in a few easy steps? I'll share my secret although it really isn't that much of a secret.

Step 1 - Find something that makes you feel good, take 15 - 30 minutes and do that thing. For me
it can be reading some of my metaphysical science's course material, playing my favourite
computer or Wii game, it might be for you reading the funnies or favourite quote book, anything
that might bring a smile to your face.

Step 2 - Find a simple task you can complete in a few moments to give you a sense of
accomplishment for example, load the dishwasher, put away the toiletries you left out in the
bathroom, make your bed or pick out an outfit for the day.

Step 3 - Do something to take care of you, wash your face, brush your teeth, comb your hair, put
on make-up if you are into that. Do whatever will make you feel better about your physical being. If
you can find the energy participate in a physical activity for 10 - 15 minutes; ride your bike, go for a
walk outside or on the treadmill, even Wii Fit can get the endorphins flowing through your body.

Before you know it the funk has disappeared and you are back to being your happy go lucky self.
If not repeat steps one to three again until you do.

Note: This is not a replacement for any medical or psychiatric treatment you might be getting, nor
does it guarantee results if you are suffering from physiological or chemical induced depression.
