Not a sick to your stomachblah but a no energy, nobody loves me Im going to the garden to eat worms, kind of blah. You arenot alone, many of us have just such a day. Now the positive thinkers and the law of attractionfolks probably have some words of wisdom on the subject but for me when Im in a funk I dontwant to hear it!Sometimes I just want to wallow in it...curl up with a cup of coffee and veg out; you know what, that is okay. It may not be as easy for folks who have to head out into the work force or for themother and caregiver who have other people relying on them but they too have permission to justbe. No one can be up 100% of the time, if there is someone out there that is then please introduceyourself, you could sell your secret and make a fortune. But if we dont want to feel blah and dont have time to veg out, what do you do to go from blah tobright in a few easy steps? Ill share my secret although it really isnt that much of a secret.Step 1 - Find something that makes you feel good, take 15 - 30 minutes and do that thing. For meit can be reading some of my metaphysical sciences course material, playing my favouritecomputer or Wii game, it might be for you reading the funnies or favourite quote book, anythingthat might bring a smile to your face.Step 2 - Find a simple task you can complete in a few moments to give you a sense ofaccomplishment for example, load the dishwasher, put away the toiletries you left out in thebathroom, make your bed or pick out an outfit for the day.Step 3 - Do something to take care of you, wash your face, brush your teeth, comb your hair, puton make-up if you are into that. Do whatever will make you feel better about your physical being. Ifyou can find the energy participate in a physical activity for 10 - 15 minutes; ride your bike, go for awalk outside or on the treadmill, even Wii Fit can get the endorphins flowing through your body. Before you know it the funk has disappeared and you are back to being your happy go lucky self.If not repeat steps one to three again until you do.Note: This is not a replacement for any medical or psychiatric treatment you might be getting, nordoes it guarantee results if you are suffering from physiological or chemical induced depression.
