  • Be not afraid.
    I go before you always.
    Come follow me,
& I will give you rest.
  • My eyes were wide open and I was fully awake.
The nightmare hit me too fast for my heart to take.
Immediate tears as I heard the news.
I knew it was bad when I saw the flashing lights of red and blue.
Instantly sick with little to no healing.
I wish there was something we could do to cure his lost feeling.
I look out the window, expecting no fun
Only to see Uncle Greg, by a rope he hung.
I fell to my knees and became very weak.
My heart was torn, I could not speak.
He was there for a while, ‘til the rest of the sun.
It’s hard to make reality that the depression had won.
The vivid pictures from that memorable evening
Kill me inside leaving an empty feeling.
It had been a long week after the nightmare was born.
With tears and moans, all dressed in black we relentlessly mourned.
“Be Not Afraid” is the song that I hear.
It plays in my head, it brings me to tears.
Till this very day I love him ‘til my last breath.
This just proves: Love is stronger than death.
