General Skills Center Hours
1st Floor of 800 Building
(LLRC Building, West Entrance)
7:30 am - 8:30 pm
7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Getting ready to use the
1. Bring your Student ID
2. Set up your Student Network Account
3. Bring your Assignment Sheet or Lab
4. Bring your Material Check-out Card (you
will receive one the first time you visit)
Material Check-out Cards are available at the Skills Center front counter.
To start: Scan in
and select your class
(You will hear
Select your class from the list by
touching it on the screen.
NOTE - IF YOU DO NOT SCAN IN YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT!!!
Check in: Present your
Material Check-out Card
• Fill out required information on
the front and back of the
Material Check-out Card.
• Bring your lab contract or
assignment sheet with you and
know what you want to work on.
• Hand your Material Check-out
Card to the aide at the counter.
• Ask for the materials you need.
Obtain a Carrel Card
Get a Carrel Card.
This is your assigned seat.
If you must change your
seat, take your carrel card to the
counter and an employee will
assign a new seat. If you
change seats and do not inform
us, we may assign the seat to
Log On to the Computer
Log on using your student ID
number as the Username
2. Put in your network password
• New students - your six digit birthday.
• Returning Students – the same
password as last semester

Follow the Rules
You may only use the center to meet your lab
requirements during your free time.
(Students cannot count any time spent in the lab if they are supposed to be
in a class at the same time, even if that class canceled.)
Do not write in Skills Center materials or remove
any materials from the Center.
Be courteous to other lab users:
No cell phone use. Turn off or mute your phone.
No food or drink allowed in the Center.
No study groups or loud talking.

The Skills Center follows the Fullerton College
Acceptable Use Policy for computer usage.
You may review this policy at:
You are not allowed to:
» use Twitter, Facebook or other social
» surf the internet
» chat online
» download software
» type your homework assignments
» check e-mail
Failure to comply with these rules may result in a
loss of computer privileges.
Printing costs $0.05 per page and MUST be
purchased in the bookstore.
Keep your receipt from the bookstore.
If there is a problem with printing, lab personnel
will ask you for the receipt.
Make sure you are
printing to a Skills
Log off the computer
Click “Log Off” when
asked if you are sure
you want to log off.
Go to Start
Click on log off.
DO NOT CLICK ON SHUT DOWN!
Return your Carrel Card &
Retrieve your Material Check-out Card
A Lab Aide will return your Material Check-out Card at the front desk.
Look at the

You may NOT spend more than two hours in the Skills Center per
session. Any time over two hours will not be credited to you.
