  • O’ahu Soil and Water Conservation Districts
  • SWCD Background
    • Encourage relations with government agencies, other organizations and the public
    • Organized in 1948 to serve as a voice for the conservation movement in Hawai’i.
    • Provide conservation planning, technical assistance and public outreach free of charge
  • SWCD Goals
    • Promote natural resource conservation through responsible land use
    • Educate the public about conservation programs
    • Facilitate cooperation among various agencies in promoting soil and water conservation
    • Pursue assistance from all sources to ensure the greatest conservation benefits for O’ahu.
