  • The revenue cycle department at the hospital in town is comprised of registration, medical records and patient billing. In order to narrow the focus of this online course, we decided to focus on patient registration because they have the most direct contact with patients. I wanted to use the results of the HCAHPS survey (a patient customer satisfaction survey) to drive what would be covered.
  • I used “Customer Service for Dummies” as a reference because I didn’t know a lot about the particulars. It turned out to be a great resource.
