    1. 1. Emancipation Corey Gibson "If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong. I can not remember when I did not so think, and feel." - Abraham Lincoln
    2. 2. Abolishing slavery• Was one of a two dominant objectives of union war effort. Most northerners embraced the abolishing of slavery. However the South wasn’t very happy.
    3. 3. legal constitution• The ending of the war created a Legal constitution stating the moralities and personalities, as well as lifestyles of slaves were what they deserve as free men.
    4. 4. enemies of slavery• Abraham Lincoln was an enemy of slavery. He hated it with a passion. He always was looking for a way to free slaves. He created an opposition to slavery and sent men into Southern states to declare the abolishment of slavery.
    5. 5. Emancipation Proclamation• The Emancipation Proclamation was a written document freeing all slaves in the south and making them citizens of the towns they live in. The South didn’t take to it right away though they still believed slavery was their natural right.
