    • 3. The Temple Sermon • Main points: • The people thought that having the temple was enough • They didn’t bother to live righteous lives • God promised to send them into exile and destroy the temple

    • 7. Deceptive words, 2005 • “God doesn’t care what you do, as long as you come to church on Sunday and take the Lord’s Supper”
    • 8. God’s words, Jer. 7 • I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your brothers, the people of Ephraim
    • 9. God’s words, Rev. 2 • Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
    • 10. Jeremiah’s warning • It’s not enough to be a member of the right church • It’s not enough to “do all the right things” at church • It’s not just religion; it’s life
