  2. 2.     Empowering people for a lifetime, since 1903   For more than 110 years, Toberman Neighborhood Center has been fulfilling our mission by delivering life-changing services to encourage, inform, educate & empower Los Angeles Harbor Area families to live healthy and purposeful lives. Our services deliver through 3 Core Programs: Children, Youth, and Family Services; Family Source Center; and Gang Intervention Services. In 2013 we provided more than 24,000 services to 7,500 families. Children, Youth, and Family Services: Children, Youth, & Family Services Family Source Center Gang Intervention Services Toberman Academy (after-school K-5th) Leaders in Training (after-school 6th -8th) Family Literacy Positive Parenting Program Family Source Center: Intensive Case Management Supplemental Food Assistance Legal services Gang Intervention: One life-changing Mission delivered through Three Core Programs   Crisis Intervention Conflict Resolution Mentoring and Training Life Skills Safe Passage / School-Based Intervention

Your sponsorship creates…   Impact Sponsorship  creates  the  following  impacts   that  you  can  express  to  your  stakeholders.       Children, Youth and Family Services Program Impacts: Our after-school educational programs, Toberman Academy & Leaders in Training, provide the 40 Developmental Assets® to youth in order to empower them to build healthy, purposeful lives. Our Family Literacy program has become a recognized national model – services include parent-to-parent mentoring, activity-specific Parent and Child time (PACT), Parent time, and Family Service Learning. More  services  provided  in  2013  than  any  prior  year.   Family Source Center Impacts: We provide comprehensive wrap-around service and intensive case management. In 2013, we served 1,725 families. Of these families, 459 increased their income and 269 increased their academic achievement. Supplemental food services offered through our pantry are providing an average of 4,272 Gang Intervention Services Impacts: Our team services 8 communities in the Los Angeles Harbor, including 9 local middle and high schools. Intervention services create opportunities for young adults to succeed, including incident response, violence interruption, community engagement, and neighborhood interfacing.   Robust  after-­‐school  programs  provide  a  variety  of   healthy  and  engaging  activities,  including  service-­‐ learning  projects,  fitness  classes,  a nd  more.

Impressions Your sponsorship creates…   Toberman  creates  impressions  for     our  sponsors  throughout  the  year…   Organizational Communication Your logo presented on our organizational stationary, correspondence letters, and organizational letterhead, reaching thousands of businesses, organizations, community members, and partners. Magic  Johnson  teaches  our  kids  to  chase     their  dreams  at  our  Annual  Gala.   Marketing, Social Media, and Publicity Your logo displayed on outreach and marketing materials, including our e-newsletter, annual report, and at community events, and marketing including advertisements, advertorials, television, and social media. Community Event Promotion Your organization is also associated with marketing materials including flyers, media adverts, and other publicity for our over two dozen major events hosted by Toberman Neighborhood Center throughout the year, each of which provides an opportunity for publicity for our sponsors. Confirmed 2014 events include Summer Camp, Back-to-School (Fall), Free Arts Festival (Spring and Summer), Harvest Festival (November), Holiday Toy Drive (December), Easter, and fundraisers, community engagement activities, food drives, health fairs, and more.   Our  kids  learn  the  value  of  healthy  living  from   “Danger  Man”  at  a  recent  onsite  Health  Fair.     Councilman  Buscaino  and  community  leaders   gather  for  a  luncheon  in  our  gymnasium.  
  6. 6.   Engagement Your sponsorship creates…   Our  sponsors  participate  in  the  most   celebrated  events  in  the  South  Bay.   April 5th, 2014: Annual Gala, Honored guest Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Kareem and special guests will pay tribute to the life of the amazing Bill Sharman. Exquisite dining and the most celebrated sports memorabilia auction items in the entire South Bay. August 10th, 2014: The Depot presents Bill Sharman Memorial Summerfest Chef Shafer shuts down the street sets up the big tent to host an invitation-only celebration with gourmet delights, endless libations, entertainment, and laughter. September: Paper Yacht Festival at POLA This engaging community fundraiser brings out kids, families, and elected officials alike to enjoy a sunny afternoon celebration of education and ingenuity. (date TBD) Community Events throughout the Year: In addition to the publicity and community impressions sponsors receive from our several public events, sponsors are invited to participate, volunteer, or create a unique engagement ideas surrounding these events. This type of community engagement is one of the most impactful forms of exposure for your organization.
