  • 2. VLE’s -what they are...
    • virtual learning environment (VLE) is usually a web based programme created to help people to learn certain topics.
    • A VLE will normally work over the Internet and provide a collection of tools such as those for assessment communication, uploading of content, return of students' work, peer assessment, administration of student groups, collecting and organizing student grades, questionnaires, tracking tools, etc. New features in these systems include wikis, blogs, RSS and 3D virtual learning spaces.

    • it is a quick and simple way to let users to learn.
    • It is accessible at any time.
    • It is held on the internet, so it is accessible at home as well as school.
    • Students are set specific tasks to do.
    • They are quick easy sessions which change different teaching methods like diagrams and text as well as filling in sections to help learning.
    • Times how long you've been on it and tells you when a section has been completed.

    • Accessible whenever.
    • Accessible where-ever.
    • Is simple to use.
    • Has a marking scheme.
    • Tallies how long it has
    • been active.
    • Helps improve exam results.
    • Can sometimes crash.
    • Required payment to keep site running.
    • Requires passwords and other information.
  • 6. Virtual Learning Environment are now taking some jobs of teachers, they are used as a supplement to a student so that he doesn’t require a second teacher. Also the fact that it can be accessed at any time and have most of the syllabus within the website, it means that many teachers don't even have to work as hard anymore! They in essence only have to teach you the very few parts that the website doesn’t cover, and mark essays they set you! XD
  • 7. Active revision. Assessments Business teaching. Different intelligence levelled tasks & assessments. Projects. School related activities/councils. School trips. Extra things for students. Set – homework's. E-mails. Assignments Related work.

  • 9. Lol bear.. But seriously.... VLE’s are a very important part of our lives, we use them more then we know, and they are very handy, therefore i think now would be a good time to end the presentation.
