Cook County/Blue Cap School EECBG Project Profile

Cook County’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant(EECBG) Program, administered through the Department ofEnvironmental Control, has provided funding to over 70 Sub-Recipients to complete a variety of projects aimed at reducingenergy use, operating cost and greenhouse gas emissions. TheEECBG funds provide County-wide economic, environmental andsocial benefits. Blue Cap is a Sub-Recipient of the EECBG program and is an organization that is dedicated to Blue Cap energy serving infants, children and adults efficiency upgrades with developmental disabilities include: through community-based  Replacing windows and educational, therapeutic, vocational doors; and residential opportunities. These upgrades will occur in a total of seven buildings (5 residential, instructional and main building).Instructional Building—Multi-Purpose Room

This is one of Blue Cap’s residential properties where a high efficiency, tankless, on- demand water heater was installed.
