The Credit Crisis in 30 Slides Contest

With Wall Street in a frenzy, we're looking for insights and perspectives on the Credit Crisis. Your presentation should be an original take on the crisis. It can be a primer on sub-prime loans, or a financial model of credit default swaps or mortgage backed securities. You can be broad or talk about a specific subject such as the automotive industry or the startup ecosystem. Or you can tell the story of an average family in the face of the crisis. You have 30 slides.

How to enter the contest

  • To enter the the "Credit Crisis in 30 Slides Contest", please create a SlideShare account and add your presentation to the contest. You can enter the contest in one the two ways:
    1. While uploading your presentation to SlideShare (single or bulk upload), tick the checkbox "Enter Contest", select "Credit Crisis in 30 Slides Contest" in the dropdown.
    2. Alternatively, upload the presentation as usual. Later, you can enter the contest by going to the presentation "Edit" page.
  • To be eligible, your presentation should have been uploaded to SlideShare after September 15th, 2008 and entered into the contest by October 24th, 2008, 11:59 PM PST. The decision of SlideShare regarding eligibility of contest presentations will be final and binding for all.
  • Additionally the presentation
    1. Must be your original creation. Please do not upload the work of others. It will be disqualified. Read our copyright policy here.
    2. The presentation should be about the Credit crisis. All unrelated presentations will be removed.
    3. You can enter upto 10 presentations into the contest.
    4. Slidecasts (presentations + audio) are also eligible for the contest.
  • You can upload PowerPoint (PPT, PPS   POT), OpenOffice (ODP), PDF and Keynote (for Mac users). For pptx (Powerpoint 2007), please save in lower version (ppt) or save as pdf.
  • To be eligible for a prize, please complete your account profile on SlideShare. Add your full name, correct email address, gender, contact details, country, city etc.
  • The contest is not open to residents of Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea, Myanmar (formerly Burma) Sudan, Puerto Rico or the province of Quebec. Sorry, this is due to contest law issues (make sure to read the contest rules for eligibility).
  • Voting for the contest entries will be between October 14th and 27th.
    1. Judges will choose winners from top voted entries.
    2. The decision of SlideShare regarding winners is final and binding.
    3. You can ask your friends to vote for you. But please do not attempt to rig the voting. Your entry will be disqualified if we find any evidence of rigging. The decision of SlideShare in this regards is final and binding.
