  26. 26. Most of the people from my stereotype would hang around areas such as urbis in Manchester
  27. 27. My stereotype would wear clothes such as baggy jeans, band t-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps, have colourful hair etc

My audience would most likely go to see metal/rock bands in concert such ‘Parkway Drive’ ‘Iron Maiden’ ‘Metallica’ </li></li></ul><li>Q5)<br />How did you attract/address your audience?<br /><ul><li> I did a survey of my target audience to find out what kind of features to use on my product. </li></ul>Responses for a question:<br />Similar questions like this were used such as what kind of bands they prefer reading about.<br /><ul><li> I also conducted a focus group where I asked more questions but in person to my target audience. Questions such as ‘which aspect of a magazine attracts you to it’ </li></li></ul><li>Using ‘Distorted’ as my masthead attracts my audience as the music they listen to is distorted<br />My audience will be attracted to the dark colours <br />Bands my audience will be familiar with and so would be drawn to my product<br />The images will attract the audience as they will see the person is similar to them, fitting in with a stereotypical metal/rock person<br />Language my audience would find appealing as it links in with the style of music being aggressive<br />Graphics such as this would appeal to my audience as lightning bolts are furious which links in with the music<br />

Q6)<br />What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?<br />Photoshop tools-<br />The main program I used to design and edit my product was Adobe Photoshop. Here are some of the tools I used: <br />Eyedropper tool -<br />Free transform/ -<br />Transform <br />Lasso tools -<br />Magic wand/<br />Quick selection-<br />Paint Bucket tool-<br />
  32. 32. Photoshop effects-<br />I learnt about the effects in Photoshop that were then used in my product such as the ones seen on the image to the right.<br />These were used to –<br /><ul><li> Make them bold and stand out

Improve image quality and do things such as decrease the brightness </li></li></ul><li>Q7)<br />Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?<br /><ul><li> a more appropriate choice of colours were needed for my product in order to target the audience
  35. 35. Better images were needed that fitted the target audience and had better camera angles
  36. 36. My masthead design needed to fit the target audience
  37. 37. Better choice of language so the audience can relate to it</li>
