    • What’s Paralympic? Paralympic games are an international multi-sport event where the athletes are people with aphysical disability. The explanation for the name "Paralympic" isthat it derives from the Greek prepositionπαρά, pará ("beside" or "alongside”) and thus refersto a competition held in parallel with the OlympicGames.
