Malaysia is <ul><li>Located in Southeast Asia </li></ul><ul><li>Made up of two parts, the Peninsular and a major part of Borneo (Sabah and Sarawak) </li></ul><ul><li>A cultural melting pot of people from different ethnicity with a multitude of culture and belief </li></ul><ul><li>Famous for its rainforests and wildlife </li></ul>

  5. 5. One Malaysia spirit! One Malaysia, as led by our Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak.
  6. 6. Upin and Ipin , a famous local animated series, portrays the cultural diversity and unity in Malaysia
  7. 7. Our famous cartoonist, Lat also very often depict our unique Malaysian lifestyles in his artwork *translation: My hope is that we would be good friends forever. (Note that the picture show children of different ethnicity playing together)
  8. 8. We Malaysians <ul><li>Love to eat </li></ul><ul><li>Practice the spirit of ‘gotong-royong’. We believe that many hands make light work. </li></ul><ul><li>Love holding and also attending open houses during festive occasions. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Our love for food… <ul><li>Our local delicacies will definitely leave you awestruck with it’s mix of spices and blend of different flavours </li></ul><ul><li>Where else can find food that is hot, spicy, sweet and sour at the same time! </li></ul>

  11. 11. The spirit of Gotong Royong! <ul><li>Gotong-royong is working together to get a job done. </li></ul><ul><li>We practice gotong royong everywhere! In schools, in the neighbourhood and also at work. </li></ul><ul><li>We do gotong-royong with families and friends and even strangers! It’s is for a common purpose, where the benefits are be shared by all. </li></ul>

Favourite pastime <ul><li>These pastimes used to be famous among the Malays but now it is also seen among the other races in Malaysia. </li></ul><ul><li>Some of the pastimes featured may have some similarities with another from a different culture, this is because it may have been passed down from older generations to the younger ones. </li></ul>
