    6. SMART 2020 KEY FINDINGS All units are GtCO2e SMART 2020 identified savings of 7.8 Gt CO2e that could be delivered by ICT solutions in 2020 – FIVE times the sector’s footprint and 15% of global emissions. 2007 = 0.83
    7. THE ENABLING EFFECT In 2020, ICT could enable reductions of 7.8 Gt CO2e

SMART 2020: GLOBAL VALUE > Smart motors and industrial automation would reduce .97 GtCO2e in 2020, worth €68 billion ($107.2 billion) > Savings from smart logistics applications would reach 1.52 GtCO2e, with energy savings worth €280 billion ($441.7 billion) > Smart buildings technologies could enable 1.68 GtCO2e of emissions savings, worth €216 billion ($340.8 billion) > Smart grid technologies could globally reduce 2.03 GtCO2e , worth €79 billion ($124.6 billion) Total Value: EUR 600 billion ($946.5 billion)
