Join us in celebrating the Joy of Giving WeekWhat is the Joy of Giving Week (JGW)?Each year, the Joy of Giving Week – India’s festival of giving – iscelebrated in the week of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2-8).During this week, millions of people give their time, money,resources or skills back to society by creating or participating ingiving events that are organised by individuals, social groups,schools, colleges, NGOs, corporates, media houses and others.Over 1 million people participated in 600+ events across 60+ citiesin 2011, raising over Rs 30 crores in funds and resources donated.
    • 3. Corporate Carnival: basicsWHO? Organised by Secure Giving, this is a platform for corporates tofundraise for participating grassroot NGOsWHAT? A 2-day extravaganza of fun, games and activities aimed atencouraging awareness towards social responsibilityWHEN? Oct 2 – 8th 2013 during the Joy of Giving WeekWHERE? Exploring venues like MCA Club, Oberoi International School,Bombay Exhibition Centre Goregaon and Mehboob StudiosWHY? A fun fundraising event that will raise funds for 11 grassrootNGOs

What is the Corporate Carnival 2013?• An inter-corporate carnival will give corporate teams a chance to compete against each other in fun events all the while, raising funds for charity.• A 2-day extravaganza of fun, games and activities that aims to raise awareness towards social responsibility• 50 companies participating with an average of 20 employees per company• 11 participating NGOs that will benefit from the event
    • 5. What is the Corporate Carnival 2013?The activities during the Corporate Carnival will be of 2 types. Corporatescan choose to participate in any 8 (are we giving an upper limit?) of thefollowing activities:Fun ActivitiesKabaddi, antakshari, best musical act, scrabble, stand upcomedy/extempore, fashion show, art competition, photography, dance-a-thon, fastest finger first, spelling bee, slam dunk- basketball shoot outSocial Responsibility ActivitiesWindow display with recycled material and art competition inside a BMCSchool.

What is the Corporate Carnival 2013?All activities will be conducted over 2 days during the Joy of Giving Week:Day 1 will include eliminations and some finals in the day, liveEntertainment and an all-day food courtDay 2 will include the finals of remaining events scheduled throughout theday, carnival-style entertainment throughout the day, an all day food courtand a Grand Finale in the evening with entertainment, live finals forflagship events, awards ceremony (highest corporate fundraiser, highestindividual fundraiser)The judging of each activity will be conducted by renowned industryexperts.
    • 7. Who will benefit?• 11 NGOs will be invited to be associated with us for the event. Each NGO will invite supporting corporate partners to participate in the Corporate Carnival.• 10% of the donations they get to be contributed to Concern India Foundation/Secure Giving.• On October 6, the partner NGOs will be given presence at the venue for 1 day to present volunteer opportunities/ corporate engagements/ donation drives from the participants and visitors.
