CELEBRATING CELEBRATING SAVOR Featuring the Finest in French Cuisine presented by : GMHC Skylight Studios275 Hudson Street, New York City Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) hosted Savor, celebrating the outstanding culinary talents of some of New York’s finest French Chefs. Savor offered a deliciously decadent four-course French-themed dinner prepared by all-star chefs. Hosted by Bravo TV’s Top Chef and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s Ted Allen, this year’s chefs include Galen Zamarraof Mas (Farmhouse), Victoria Love of the Water Club, Jason Hicks of Orsay, and Tony Aiazziof Aureol. Kathryn Erbeof NBC's Law and Order: Criminal Intent andJay Manuel of America's Next Top Model were in attendance. The evening began with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by a formal dinner and an awards presentation. Savor created a new twist to the traditional dinning experience by surrounding guests with panoramic aerial views of images depicting French landscapes.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s Awards in-ner Gala is an annual event in which the organization bestows its highest honors to individuals who embody the legacy of Thurgood Marshall through their commitment to the Fund and its mission. Awards include: the “Corporate Leadership Award”, “Community Leadership Award”, “Education Leadership Award” and “Alumni Leadership Award”. The event is traditionally hosted by noted accomplished celebrities - most recent emcees included Angela Basset and DiahannCaroll. Star Jones, DelroyLindoand Nick Cannon , Matthew St. Patrick and Elijah Kelley served as presenters during the dinner.

The first-time event focused on the unique partnership between Georgetown College and Bishop College alumni; their successful efforts in renewing the spirit of Bishop College; and the recent creation of the Bishop Scholars Program. Georgetown College also unveiled the architectural model and renderings of the new Bishop College Center with the hope of breaking ground in the spring of 2009. Georgetown and Bishop are creating a new legacy.
