  • 2. What is a screen capture?
    A screenshot, screen capture, or screen dump is an image taken by the computer to record the visible items displayed on the monitor or another visual output device.

  • 3. After installing Greenshot, notice the green icon in the taskbar.
  • 4. Right-click on the Greenshot icon and select “Capture region”
  • 5. Click and drag the mouse to capture a specific region on your computer. (i.e. a Wordle.net word cloud)
  • 6. The Greenshot image editor pops up. Click on File -> Save as.
  • 7. Choose a file location, name the file, and click Save.
