    • Killer Oil Spill Rocks the Gulf By: Ernest, Carter, and Levi
    • What animals were affected by the oil spill?
      • Many turtles have been effected. The Kemp’s Ridley, the Green Turtle, the logger head Turtle, and the hawksbill Turtle.
      • Other animals, such as birds, are the gulls, pelicans, roseate spoonbills, egrets, terns, and blue herons.
      • Also dolphins, and many fish have been effected.
    • Total Deaths of Animals.
      • * 134,678 total dead animals
      • * 4,080 dead birds
      • * 525 dead sea turtles
      • * 72 dead dolphins
      • * 1 dead reptile
    • How Much Oil Was Poured Into The Ocean?
      • The total amount was 315,112,085 gallons.
      • There was 2,604,000 gallons being poured a day until it was capped.
      • It should take years for all the oil to get cleaned up.
    • Other Solutions BP is doing.
      • Right now BP is pumping chemicals into the water and they are eating the oil.
      • The other solutions BP is looking at are…
      • Burning the oil in small amounts at a time.
      • Filtering the oil off shore.
      • Collecting for later processing.
