Stones of Remembrance Joshua 4:1-9Ephesians 3:7-21
Just as God asked Israel to remember his faithfulness and talk about it so that it would continue to inspire them to follow Him, so we are remembering God’s faithfulness in our lives and our church and asking God to help us continue to follow Him.
Remember what God has done Our time What Jesus has done Spiritual highlights of our lives Testimonies of others We too will remember Joshua’s time Red Sea experience More water to cross Military test But a new leader They remembered God’s faithfulness
Where is God working now Joshua’s time God was now with Joshua God was guiding them into the land Our time “My father is always at his work” “Now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known.”
Have faith for the future Joshua’s time They stepped in the Jordan They believed God for the challenge at Jericho Our time “Good works prepared in advance” “Conformed to the image of his Son” “Immeasurably more”
