I recently had a chance to try out the new Samsung VM-HMX20. The hard drive camcorder
records 1920 x 1080 high definition video an internal 8GB flash memory drive, or onto a
removable SDHC/MMC card. The HMX20 has a 10x optical and 100x digital zoom, and
comes with a dock to transfer video to your computer as well as some basic DVD authoring
software.
THE GOOD:
Size
The Samsung HMX20 is a small bullet size camcorder. I often photograph bands, and I
was able to fit the camcorder in one of the slots in my camera bag designed for a SLR lens
when I took it on a shoot. This would be an easy camcorder to put in a small bag and then
carry in a purse or a tote bag on vacation. While I didn’t exactly toss it around, I think it
