    • What kind of vegetables we are growing in Poland
    • The most popular vegetables in Poland are:
      • potatoes
      • cabbage
      • carrot
      • onion
      • beet
      • cucumber
      • tomatoes
      • beans and peas
      • radish
      • parsley and celery
      • cauliflower
    • Potatoes
      • We eat potatoes almost every day as an ingredient of our dinner.
      • They give us a lot of energy.
      • Young people prefer chips, but they aren’t healthy, because they have too much fat.
    • A typical Polish dinner consists of:
      • soup
      • meat
      • potatoes
      • other vegetables
      • dessert e.g. fruits
    • Cabbage
      • Polish people like cabbage so much.
      • We eat fresh or boiled one as a salad during our dinner.
      • We prepare some dishes in which cabbage is the most important ingredient.
    • The typical Polish dumplings
      • Many people prepare delicious ones at home.
      • If you haven’t enough time for preparing them you can buy many kinds of dumplings in every shop with food.
    • The sauerkraut stew
      • If you want to prepare it, first you have to fry some pieces of meat, some pieces of sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and chopped onion.
      • Then mix it with sauerkraut and boil for about 1 hour together.
    • Carrot
      • We eat carrot because it is healthy and has vitamins.
      • We use it as an ingredient of many salads and soups.
      • Carrot gives our skin a nice colour.
    • Onion
      • We use it in many dishes.
      • It excites our appetite and helps us to struggle with diseases.
    • Beets
      • We use young red beets and their leaves to prepare a spring soup.
      • Many people mix boiled chopped beets with horse-radish and serve as a salad.
    • Cucumber
      • We eat cucumbers all the year as fresh or pickled.
      • Many people use them to prepare a soup.
    • Tomatoes
      • We eat them as a salad with onion, salt and pepper or we use them to prepare a soup.
      • The tomato soup is excellent with rice or pasta.
    • Beans and peas
      • They rich our diet in protein and energy.
      • We use them to prepare some soups or salads.
    • Radish
      • It is the first spring vegetable.
      • Radishes taste great with fresh bread.
      • Some people mix the chopped ones with cottage cheese.
    • Parsley and celery
      • We use them to prepare a vegetable soup and a chicken soup, too.
      • They are ingredients of a vegetable salad.
    • Cauliflower
      • It tastes great with fried butter and young potatoes.
