Avoid Earthly Wisdom In order to have godly wisdom, you need to avoid wisdom from here (vs. 14-16). Remove these things from your heart (vs. 14) “Bitter envy” – gives a picture of someone being jealous of someone else resulting in accusing that person of stealing his people or stealing something. “Self-seeking” – seeking to gather followers to myself Remember 3:1 warning about people who wanting to become teachers – resulting in stricter judgment

In order to have godly wisdom, you need to avoid wisdom from here (vs. 14-16).

God the Trinity (Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) God exhibits all wisdom that is right. We are to imitate God in these things:
