  • 2. Who is Charles Babbage?
    • Charles Babbage worked as a mathematician. He was born on December 26, 1791. His father, was Benjamin Babbage, he worked as a London Banker.
  • 3. What did he invent?
    • In the 1840’s Charles Babbage invented the first computer.
    • Some other inventions from Charles Babbage include:
    • Dynamometer.
    • Cow Catcher.
    • Standard railroad gauge.
    • Uniform postal rates.
    • Occulting lights for lighthouses.
    • Greenwich time signals.
  • 4. Why is he the most important?
    • Charles Babbage is the most important inventor because his invention, the computer, made it easier for people to get information, instead of reading it out of books. It also gave people a change do something fun, and use a new piece of technology not everybody got to use.
