  • Hello and thanks for joining us for Quick Start to Cole Lists. My name is Lora Ullerich & I’m the digital Media Specialist for Cole Information.

During today’s presentation, I’m going to show you the highlights and benefits of the program, how easy Cole Lists is to use to target consumers or businesses.   • Before we get started, just a little background on Cole Information. In 1947, Jack Cole created the Cole Directory. The “Blue Book” is the original criss-cross reference directory, a standard tool for business and government. Today we continue this tradition of innovation through products like Cole X-Dates to provide small business owners this searchable online database of addresses and phone numbers that allows them to target consumers and businesses in their own neighborhood.

  • After you decide who you want to target and what kind of list you’re looking to download,--whether it’s a mailing or a telemarketing list, you can narrow your search by deciding the geographical area you’d like to target and the demographics of the prospects you’re looking for and using either a radius search, Google map technology or plugging in various pieces of information—like the street name, zip code, city or state, you can define your list that way. It’s the same with demographics—you can customize your list the way you want it—focusing on a certain gender age, income for consumers or for businesses, you can target business of a certain size, sales volume or based on their SIC –or standard industrial classification code the government uses to identify types of businesses. If you’re unsure what particular the SIC code is of the particular business you’re looking to target, you can easily look it up right on the Cole Lists website.
