    I love how you gave attribution for the CC licensed photos. I have grappled with the problem of fitting the URL reference for CC images but like how you simply reference the person. I guess the ideal reference would be a link back to the original work PLUS a ping back to the creator so they know when you used it.

    I am prepping some slideshows and realizing that I can’t simply reference the slides in the notes as the notes dont show up.

    Cogdog, wish there was audio with this (or even better, had I been there, conference chicken and all ;-) but in any case, great set of slides. Would really love to hear more especially about slide 65, as I see this as critical not just to Web 2.0 but to the future of our higher ed institutions. Cheers, Scott

Notes on slide 1

Title is a nod to colleagues in the audience who are film buffs. Is anyone a fan of Chance the Gardner? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078841/) My metaphor may land askew (not the first time), but as a simple person thrust into a strange new world by sheer circumstance, maybe he was foreshadowing web 2.0-- and his child like basic perspectives is what so engaged people around him. In thinking about this session, I kept returning to the value and power of “being there” with all of this exploding technology.
