Baked Beans with Chili Sauce <ul><li>Ingredients </li></ul><ul><li>1 ½ cups dried beans </li></ul><ul><li>1/8 teaspoon baking soda </li></ul><ul><li>1 teaspoon minced onion </li></ul><ul><li>1 1/3 cups chili sauce </li></ul><ul><li>1 teaspoon salt </li></ul><ul><li>¼ teaspoon pepper </li></ul><ul><li>2 slices salt pork (or bacon) </li></ul><ul><li>1 tablespoon molasses </li></ul>

Baked Beans with Chili Sauce <ul><li>Soak beans overnight. </li></ul><ul><li>Drain them, add soda. </li></ul><ul><li>Cover with fresh water. </li></ul><ul><li>Bring to boiling point. </li></ul><ul><li>Cook 5 minutes. </li></ul><ul><li>Turn into deep baking dish. </li></ul><ul><li>Add seasonings and molasses. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Baked Beans with Chili Sauce <ul><li>Lay slices of salt pork or bacon over top. </li></ul><ul><li>Cut into dice and mix with beans. </li></ul><ul><li>Pour Chili sauce over all. </li></ul><ul><li>Add water to barely cover. </li></ul><ul><li>Bake at 325 – 350 degrees for 3 hours. </li></ul>
