Periodic table
    By Cody Gibson
       period 4
Background

• Dmitri Mendeleev brain stormed,
  organized,and created the periodic
  table
• He was a russian chemist.
How it started

• Scientist needed a better way to
  organize the elements and their
  families.
• He put all 118 elements on a table
  represented by periods and groups.
How it is organized
• The periodic table is organized by
  atomic weight,The higher the atomic
weight the farther down and to the
right it will be located on the table.
• it is also organized by periods
horizontal row and groups witch are
  the vertical columns.
Relationships

• Elements are placed into families by
  their physical and chemical properties.
• They are also classified as Non metals &
  Metals.
• Atomic number.
• weight 1.00794
• Is used to weld under water
• Copper
• atomic number=29
• weight 63.5436
• It is used in electrical wires and
  plumbing.
helium

• Atomic number=2
• weight=4.003
• He
• is used to fill up balloons.
